Text and email

We send text messages to our patients for a number of things, such as appointment reminders, invitations to attend for health checks or vaccinations or essential updates about our services. Our clinical and non-clinical staff may also text you information to follow up from a recent conversation you’ve had. We may also text you about your test results, without going into details, e.g. asking you to contact the surgery, or to say that no action is needed.

We use email to send routine messages and newsletters.

It is important that you keep us updated with your mobile number and email address so that we can always contact you when we need to.

If you receive a text message from us, please do not reply to it directly, as we do not currently have any way to deal with replies – they will be automatically deleted. We hope to be able to offer a reply service in future but unfortunately it is not possible at the moment.

We hope that you will like this service and find it a convenient way to receive information from us.

If you have any queries or concerns about this service, or to opt out, please contact reception.
